Is it just me, or has Smallville become one gigantic whine-fest? It's always, "Lana, I love you" this and "Clark, no more secrets" that. I mean gimme a break! They've been trying to make this work for eight frikkin' years already, give it a rest. We all know that's NOT who he ends up with anyway! No mystery there.
And Clark still pining after the same girl for this long makes him seem way past vulnerable and well into pathetic! Dude, get over her!!! There are way better girls out there, that aren't Lex Luthor's sloppy seconds. If Lois and Clark can't hook up (or at least he start to notice her THAT WAY) then how about Chloe? She's already his best friend anyhow. How about we see Clark as a normal guy who dates a little and doesn't spend all his time moping after one girl he's been crushing on since high school.
Maybe this is normal behavior for these types of characters on these shows. You know, Dawson's Creek, 90201blah, blah, blah, all the same type teen angst dramas. But that is not what I thought I was getting when I started watching Smallville. I never watched/liked any of those Melrose Place type of shows because they're boring and stupid. Smallville seems to be sacrificing everything that originally drew me to it in favor of soap opera like plot lines. I hate to say it, I've been watching this show since the beginning, but if this keeps up I'm so gonna have to find something better to do with my Thursday nights. (At least until 8 o'clock when Supernatural comes on!) -K:)
