Language

While we still haven't had the 'vocabulary explosion' everyone keeps telling me will come, in the past few weeks there's been a definite expansion to the words in NS's vocabulary.

He now has alternative names for TC and SR, much closer to their real names. He clearly calls EN 'baby'. He now says please. And there are a few other words too.

Another language break-through was an actual, 2 word sentence. I forget what it was (I'll ask the girls), it might have been 'More, please', or something along those lines, but it was definitely 2 very clear words.

And I think that's been NS's problem from the start.

Since the very beginning, he babbles whole sentences. He has tone of voice/inflection and the body language/posture pretty down pat. What he hasn't had is the actual words. So he babbles full sentences and usually the last word is an actual word.

See, no one told him that he needs to start slowly. He jumped right into full blown conversation-mode from the start.

ns, talking, milestone
