Olive-backed Sunbird (Cinnyris jugularis)
Где-то в нашей деревне успешно отгнездились желтобрюхие нектарницы (Cinnyris jugularis / Nectarinia jugularis), и одним декабрьским утром на телевизионном проводе, проходящем через куст перед нашим крыльцом, объявился слеток. Родители, прилетая его кормить, не обращали на меня никакого внимания, но сам процесс кормежки был очень быстрым и динамичным, и в листве было не то что сложновато уследить, что там происходит, а обычно просто не успеть нажать на кнопку. Когда же птенец оставался один, он в основном просто сидел и подавал голос, но иногда, проявляя свою нектарническую природу, проверял содержимое цветочков на кусте.
An Olive-backed Sunbird (Cinnyris jugularis / Nectarinia jugularis) nested successfully somewhere in our village, and one morning in December a young fledgeling was perching on our TV cable going through a bush just in front the porch. The parents came with food paying no attention to me, but the feeding was very short in time and dynamic, so it was not only difficult to see well what went on inside the bush, but even to manage to press the shutter button in time to capture the feeding, was hard enough. When alone, the young sunbird mostly just sat and made noises, but sometimes, showing its sunbird's nature, also checked the contents of the flowers on the bush.
