Not much new is happening - just the good old angst that's making me sound like a BNF on crack. I am agonizing over the SGA premiere - I wanna watch it, but I somehow don't want to watch it, too. Maybe I'm afraid of the writers going nuts midseason and writing John/Teyla and totally ruining SGA for me. Maybe I am in too deep. Maybe I should drop

Fandom, in my mind, is like that fable Stone Soup. A coupla guys give us a stone and some water. That's great, but it's not that interesting. So, every goes into their house and brings out an ingredient for the soup. Some people bring out, like, a pinch of cayenne pepper and others bring out, like, a bunch of tomatoes. It doesn't matter how much one person brings to the soup, because everybody helped to make it. If that one one person was ashamed of only being able to give that pinch of cayenne pepper and didn't bring it to the soup, the soup wouldn't have tasted the same.

My point is that everybody brings something to fandom. Some people bring more than others, but we are all equally important.
