Wow
I just took a walk around the property to check on the mountain laurels. Many of them are hugely in bud, and the ones that aren't in bud are hugely in new leaves. I've got pictures of that later. First though, I want to show you the lawn. Trolling through my photo files, I found this picture taken June 19 of last year - almost exactly a year ago. I was taking pictures of the tree branches Bob had just cut down, but you can also see a good deal of the "lawn." I was standing on the deck, looking towards the woodpile.
I took this picture today. Not the exact same photo, because I took this one sitting at the end of the woodpile looking at the deck. It's the same stretch in between though.
