It has come to my attention that many people find my act of analyzing other people and writing livejournal entries about it to be more than a bit tacky. With this in mind, I'll tell you all that in one of these next few volumes, an analysis of myself will be included. It's up to you to figure out which one it is of course. Anyway, on to round two.
Person #5: What you would call a peach of a person. Haven't known this one very long. Much like person #2 in the sense that he/she avoids confrontation and seems to have difficulty expressing anger. When confronted, he/she often becomes flustered and apologizes repeatedly rather than defending his/herself. Is very friendly and seemingly innocent in social situations. If any negative feelings exist, they are certainly kept far under the surface. His/her life is continually filled up with a wide variety of activities with a wide variety of individuals, many of which appear to be rather frivolous from an outside point of view. I get the feelings this person spends great amounts of energy and time making sure his/her schedule is constantly filled up with activities in order to avoid being alone for any significant period of time. Yet, at the same time, this person often complains of boredom, lonliness, and a general "lost" feelings. Perhaps because this person's ability to organize and shuffle his/her hobbies, social life, and responsibilities is lacking and causes him/her to forsake certain hobbies and people that bring true fulfillment, as well as sucking anything resembling flexibility from his/her schedule.
Person #6: I've spent more time than I care to admit trying to figure this one out. He/she is perhaps the only person I know that rivals #3 and #4 in terms of emotional troubles. He/she is generally fun to be around, laughs easily and is very social, perhaps even overly so. This person would seem very stable and healthy when you first meet him/her, seeing some of his/her psychological problems takes some serious time, as they are hidden well. In general, this person is one of the most selfish people I've ever met, and he/she makes no apologies for that, as his/her philosophy on life is "looking out for yourself" and basically consists of never taking a risk of harming yourself for the sake of somebody else, and never going out of your way for somebody else. This philosophy dominates his/her social interactions. People exist in this person's world only to benefit him/her in some way, whether the benefits be material or emotional. All friendships/relationships are begun with the assumption that they will only be temporary and whenever a person ceases to put out any sort of benefits to this him/her, they are immediately dropped from his/her life. This person has instincts to avoid emotional pain at all costs that is so strong, nearly all of his/her waking time is spent filling his/her life up with the frivolous in order to avoid thinking about anyone or anything that is potentially painful. Because of this, this person often goes years carrying emotional baggage from the past that is never dealt with.
