Warnings/Notes: Mid season 3. References to sex and mating habits, basically giving away the whole darn episode here.
I chose the episode Blood Fever from the third season of Star Trek Voyager. Our resident half Klingon, B'Elanna, is approached by a young Vulcan, Vorik, on board who asks her to become his mate. He becomes forceful with her. She violently refuses (and it's awesome!) his advances. It is discovered that he is experiencing Pon Farr, his first Pon Farr. What is Pon Farr you may ask? Every seven years of an adult Vulcan's life they experience an urge to return to the home world and take a mate.
B'Elanna, Tom, and Neelix go on an away mission down on what appears to be an uninhabited planet. While there B'Elanna begins acting strangely. She gets angry and takes off on her own after biting Tom on the face. Throughout the episode they find out she is experiencing Pon Farr after her encounter with Vorik. She has chosen Tom as her mate. Vorik gets involved again and things go south from there.. This mix goes over it all..

Vorik is overcome by the emotions of Pon Farr, the Vulcan mating ritual. He desires and confronts B’Elanna, asking if she will become his mate.

Vorik: … I touched her face. I meant to be gentle but she tried to move away, and then I was holding her more tightly. Both hands on her face like this, it felt very important to not let go, I’m not certain why.
I wanted to bond with her, that much I remember clearly.

B’Elanna is realizing the effects Tom is having on her during what people keep telling her is a Vulcan chemical imbalance called Pon Farr. She has bitten Tom, the Klingon marking of ones mate.

B’Elanna: I wouldn't go that far.
