Для тех, кто еще вдруг не видел: не могу не поделиться потрясающим видео/песней Джоша Долгина aka Socalled You Are Never Alone (вставка этого видео в блог отключена на ЮТьюбе, так что просто щелкните по ссылке).
Очень познавательно было почитать полторы тысячи комментариев на YouTube. И очень в тему моим вчерашним размышлениям о сущем прозвучали комментарии на 27-й странице под видеоклипом.

This is the kind of stuff more hip-hop artists should be doing: exploring different genres of music within their own genre. For the more open minded, it's original, unique and that's what makes it cool. And I don't even like hip-hop.

most of HH so called artists are lame. The skills you mentioned are for the best, not for mass shit producers.

Depends upon who you are calling "the best" because the problem is that those considered "the best" now is that they are doing the same, boring, annoying crap. None of them are doing anything innovative like these guys. 50 Cent, Usher, Kanye West...all of them. The same stuff. But it's not limited to hip hop. 90% of the stuff on the radio today is pure rehashed crap.

so lets define :) the best i mean really creative artists like guy above. For example bjork, portishead, massive attack, daft punk, chemical brothers, not to mention jazz-related groups like skalpel or cinematic orchiestra and SOOOO much more. I mean people with amazing skills, sense of freedom in using media, huge talent etc etc. 50 cent... well the guy is the mass shit for me. The tunes made by his producers are simple and made for "hypercool" teenagers.

Okay, we are both definitely on the same "page" here :) If you are talking about Chemical Brothers and Massive Attack esp., I'm totally with you. You get what you are saying and you are 100% right. The sad fact of it is that it's garbage artists like 50 Cent that gets the air play. I can only guess because it feels "safe" and familiar to people who aren't willing to venture outside of the corporate "box" that mainstream radio has become.

И вот именно такой должна быть настоящая музыка. Она должна пробуждать религиозное чувство, - будь то Моцарт, Мессиан или SoCalled.
