FRUSTRATION
I'm angry with my situation. I love teaching, but Springfield is making it very hard for me to love it. I have one child who is in desperate need of help, but because she is only a year below grade level, she will not qualify for special education. Students have to be 1 1/2 to 2 years below to qualify. So she will be passed on to second grade because they won't retain her, and she will fall flat on her face and there is nothing I can do about it.
She already receives extra help in the morning, class reduction (more one on one time), and she has tons of homework and skills that she works on at home. And yet, no improvement. And it doesn't matter to them. And it'll be my fault that she fails. Because the administration points the finger at their teachers instead of supporting them.
Why have education if you CAN'T support your children??
