A/N: Browsing through my pile of random shit, I stumbled across my notes for Corporate Ethics (at least for my first test anyway)... Well... pshh... Yeah right...
I wrote a fanfic so that I can easily remember some of the longwinded terminology and crap. I mean.. seriously... Corporate Ethics is the driest, most BORING subject EVER (next to Strategic Management and Small Business and Entrepreneurship)!!!
But anyway... Yeah..... My mind works in strange ways..... My other notes were normal though... I just wanted to have a bit of fun with this crap
Oh, and I got an A for this subject -_-b THANK YOU TALES OF VESPERIA!!! Oh, and I guess I better thank Miles Edgeworth too since whenever I had to type my assignments or sit for tests... I had this weird train of thought... "THINK LIKE A PROSECUTOR! PRESENT THE EVIDENCE AND BACK IT UP WITH FACTS! ONLY THEN WILL YOUR STATEMENT BE FLAWLESS!"
One day, Yuri Lowell yelled out, "I'M GONNA KILL THAT OLD GEEZER IN THE NAME OF THE TELEOLOGICAL THEORY OF ETHICS"
"Oh", Estelle mused, "Which rule are you going to embody within that theory?".
"Hmph, must you ask such silly questions? OF COURSE THE UTILITARIAN RULE! THIS IS BECAUSE MY ACTIONS, ALTHOUGH MORALLY WRONG, WILL BRING GREAT CONSEQUENCES LATER!!!".
Estelle, shocked by Yuri's sudden brashness, attempted to talk him out of it. "But... but.... If you follow that one, you have to consider the two forms... Classical/Act or Rule".
Yuri then barked out ".... I AM A MAN WITH NO RULES! I do not act within a so called universally set 'rule'. I am my own man who prefers to 'ACT' out my actions. I DO what I see fit to see what will bring people more pleasure than pain at the end of the day and damn that sounds wrong!"
"But Yuri..... Think of the people...." Estelle softly replied.
"People?! HAH! Why should I embody the Ethics of Care?".
"..... It's important to forge concrete relationships with people Yuri.... We can help them, nurture them... provide for them, care for their well being".
"HAH, wouldn't it be much easier to kill the old guy instead of helping a thousand people suffering under his rule?"
Estelle looked down dejectedly ".....But you're taking a life away! Why not just.. just...."
Yuri then sneered and glared at Estelle. "You know, by using the Ethics of Care, you're interfering with justice. Is that it? You're preventing me from killing the old guy because of your unjust favoritism isn't it?!"
"No! Yuri... the only one I love is YOU! I just.... don't want you to kill anymore..."
"Hmph... then I'll be on my way." Yuri then started walking towards the door, but before he could reach for the doorknob, Estelle caught a hold of him and stared deeply into his eyes.
"Are you forgetting the Kantian Rule?", Estelle stared with so much intensity in her eyes that even Yuri was taken aback. "The Kantian rule.... Put yourself in his shoes.... wouldn't you not want to be assassinated like this?"
"...If I were that old geezer, I wouldn't even tax people so high! People should exercise their right to choose how much they want to be taxed! It shouldn't be imposed at will!"
"There's no stopping you is there Yuri.... You know.... when we got together, I'd never thought that the man I love would still consider himself murderer". Estelle then looked away and sighed as Yuri walked out the door.
THE END
