I have recently become aware of your magnificent site this evening. I have a feeling that you are getting inundated with permission requests and appreciate your taking time to respond to me.
I came across your artwork at http://www.side7.com/cgi-bin/S7SDB/Display.pl?act=bio&aid=70. When I come across an artist, such as yourself, I always try to get personal permission to use their work in my graphics so that I might be able to post my results on other non-profit sites. I also make signature tags for friends.
If you allow me to use your work, May I animate it? Nothing drastic...an eye blinking, a tail swishing, a nod of the head and perhaps a little breathing? Absolutely nothing would be done to lessen the quality of your work.
May I tube or remove the background of your work?
May I post these tubes in my private tube share group? The members of my share group always respect artists rights.

I get them in waves. A half dozen all at once and then nothing for a month or three. Usually from MSN groups. :/ (It should be noted that this one is more well-written and specific and polite than the majority I get.)
*checks* My email isn't displayed publicly at Side7, but after thinking about it (trying to figure out how else they could have got the email addie)... I think they probably just got it from whatever tuber club they are a member of that gave them the idea that I might respond. Most of them post all URLs and contact information they have for the artist as 'proof' they have permission. :/
Ngh. I should probably put something about tubing in my Side7 profile. I'll do that tomorrow, maybe.

On all my graphics that contain your images I will place © Chella Reaves and the url to your site. Please let me know if you have any other preference for credits to be given and also if your URL is different from the one above. If permission is granted, I truely hope it is, is there any area on your site that is off limits, like commissioned pieces? I would not want to inadvertantly use them.

Tubes. That's right. That Paint Shop Pro crap tool for stamping out repetative things. *sigh* Today's version of clip art; how I hate thee.
Out of curiosity, do you have your e-mail address publicly visible? Or are these coming through the Side 7 "Send A Message To This Artist" link?
