There has appeared a new phenomena.

Said person has a party, a get together if you will.

To say final farwells and wish the person luck in
their next place of residence.

a going away party.

And the phenomena is, in this "culture," the person
does not infact "go away."

Yet they stay in the same place of residence and
continue on with the menial life they led before.

Just a thought. An observance, rather.
