Where have I been??
Hello there. Fall is in full swing over here and unlike last year I am taking a more active role in Jason's band this year. I did help out last year, its just with the wedding planning, I didn't help out all that much.
Competitions started last week, so I was there at the competition, Monday they had rehearsal, and then Tuesday his school hosted a competition for all of the high school bands in the district. Tomorrow I am going to the Hootie and the Blowfish concert! I am so excited for that. Me and my 90s music. Saturday is another competition. And, preseason games for the Suns start tonight. Oh my goodness!
And, in other marching band related news... I'm looking into becoming a judge! A visual judge! I'm excited about that. So, at their show on Tuesday I sat up in the booth with the 2 judges and listened to their comments. Granted, one was colorguard and one was an everything else (the third judge is in the hospital), but its a start. We're looking into the first steps needed since they don't officially have any training to become a judge. My mom says the next step is judging for DCI and somehow, I don't think so. Being a judge in AZ won't help me be a judge for DCI - maybe if I was a judge for WBA in CA...
