Crossing the threshold
We had our final walkthrough on our house yesterday afternoon. We had a list of items that we had noticed that needed to be addressed and we made sure that they were marked with blue tape to be fixed before Wednesday ( Read more... ) -
Time to pack!
We are 2 weeks from our final walk through, just under 3 weeks from closing and when we move. We started packing yesterday and got a really big chunk of it done. Like, we are now pondering what else we can pack before we move. I guess that's a good thing, we just get to live with boxes for the next 3 weeks ( Read more... ) -
We have a closing date!
We have our final walk through on September 5th and we sign the papers and get the keys September 10th!
I smell a painting party coming up! -
House Update
So, we have the baseboards and doors sitting in our house in their respective rooms, some of which are even installed now. The paint on the inside should be up tomorrow or Thursday and we should have the outside painted by the end of the week. Then its our roof tiles and our driveway and we're on to all inside stuff! I marched in the alumni parade on the 4th. Man, you forget how tired you can get marching around! And, that was just the 45 minute Morgan Hill parade! My thighs hurt and my arms hurt from holding the trombone... and I suck and trying to march and read music and attempt to play at the same time ( Read more... ) -
Happenings
Well, our house is moving along smoothly, the stucco is on, the drywall is up and should be complete. Its exciting to see the rows of homes before us get things (tile, paint, cabinets...) and figure out when to expect that for our house. We love going over to see the progress then to walk through the other homes to see what other people chose, the ( Read more... ) -
