Blue Devils Win!
Ok, so that's old news, but I've been so busy since then I haven't been able to rejoice in their victory. CA for finals was great. The Cadets sucked. Really, it was bad. George Hopkins was like 10 feet from us while his corps was performing on Finals night. I kept staring at him the whole show because of how he has his corps talking the entire way through it! I couldn't clap for it, I just couldn't. Well, their was one part where a pit person (supposed to be an instructor) says "Ok, now let's do that again without voice!" The entire crowd (possbibly 40,000 people) cheered.
I gotta tell you, I was nervous after they performed. From the parts of the hornline I could hear over the pit voices, they sounded great, they really were performing their hearts out. Then the Blue Devils came on. I was nervous for them, well, mainly for Brandyn. He was againg out as the drum major.
They were announcing the scores - it came to second place... I was so nervous - I really thought Cadets won. Then, they annnounced the Cadets in 2nd, I squealed so loudly! I was so excited! Brandyn had won! The winning drum major goes up in the audience to lead the corps in the finale, so that was Brandyn. He was 4 rows in front of me and 1 section over and since our seats were on the side... I ran down to see him real quick. I hugged him and said "Oh my God!" And, then I said, "Ok, I'll catch you later" since he was about to be pretty busy.

Ok, we finished moving into our new 2 bedroom apartment today. Very nice, we are able to stretch out, have a second couch now. We are planning on having people over in September, though now that we are moved in, we could go earlier.
