Happy Sputnik day and I AM BACK!!!
First off, today is the 50th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik. A good nerd holiday.
I know, I know it has been a long time. I felt that I should just start over, because there have been a few changes in my life since I last wrote to the other journal. Also, I am sorry that I have taken so long to write to all y'all. I dunno I guess I was so busy figuring out what my new life was like. Anyway, I'm sorry.
So what is my life like you ask? Well living with Stephanie is GREAT!!! I am really really glad to have her around all of the time. Like right now we are sitting in the study listening to music. She is doing a job application and I was until recently begining to practice my calligraphy again. I am trying to copy parts of The Cantubury Tales into Gothic Script. Feels nice to be doing that again.
I am beginning to get the feel of what my life will be like this year. It is a lot of work but nothing impossible. I go to work at 8am every day and get home around 6. However, I get to come home, and NOT DO WORK. It is fabulous. Like I have a problem set due tomorrow and I have not done a single bit of work since I got home tonight. I think I can do my work this way because I have a very good motivation to not have to be doing work when I get home.
Really starting to get to know some of the people. We are going to go to the Rocky Horror Show (not the movie a stage play) this Saturday at midnight. Really get to see who the cool people are then. Oh for those of you who have met her, Jinrui is coming too. Way to take the cultural plunge! All else is good. I will try to write more often, but now it is time for bed.
