Episode 107: The Edge of Imagination

I almost forgot I was supposed to do this one. Oopsy. DX

Episode 107: The Edge of Imagination

The episode can be found here (community locked) if you need it!

Also, screen caps once again came from here, because I’m super forgetful.

Once again the episode opens with flashbacks, because fans are apparently incapable of remembering what happened in the previous episode. So we’re just going to skip the quick flashback and head to the episode itself.

In Small Cimaron, Sara and Berius talk about how Big Cimaron is mobilizing troops or whatever. Sara doesn’t intend to help out at all, and then there’s a reference to some white dove mail. Fly, white dove, fly!

In the Great Demon Kingdom, Yuuri is whining about something he has to do while everyone else is trying to calm him down.

Apparently he and Shori have to go talk to the Ten Aristocrats because of all that crap that just happened with Shori and the sword and stuff.

I’m telling’ ya, Yuuri, if you just put your foot down, you wouldn’t have to answer to these people. D:

So Hube leads them to the council room, apologizing to Shori along the way because he got into this mess trying to save El or whatever, but since Nicola and El are both okay Shori says it was worth it.

Finally, they arrive at the council room and go in together, and Gwendal begins the meeting.

Sadly, singing and playing games is not going to get Yuuri out of it this time.

While a worried Greta is having tea outside and being consoled by Anissina and Celi, Yuuri is answering to his noblemen. They want to know what he intends on doing about the troops Big Cimaron is mobilizing. Naturally, Yuuri doesn’t want a war.

So they move onto the topic of the White Crow’s sword. Waltorana pretty much does all the talking, but they all want to know what happened while Shori was with the White Crows. Shori just sits there all, like, “I ain’t telling’ you bitches nothin’.”

So then they have to try to get him to talk and he claims to not remember anything, and Waltorana starts getting a little pissy. Yuuri comes to his brother’s rescue and says to trust him…

… then drags him from the room so they don’t have to put up with any more of this crap.

Good boy, Yuuri. Good boy. You show them bitches who’s boss!

Yuuri drags him off to try and convince him to tell everyone what happened… in full view of everyone else. D: Some privacy might be nice. But Shori still ain’t saying anything.

What’s everyone to do when two brothers are being pissy toward one another?? Why, make them share a meal together, of course!

Everyone gets together to cook for them…

… and Yuuri and Shori are forced to sit together while the others eat and monitor them from a distance.

Conrad tries to reassure everyone by saying that no matter how much brothers fight, they’ll always make up, or something like that. Greta wonders if that’s how it was with Conrad and Wolfram. Wolfram blushes and pretends as if he has no idea what she’s talking about.

Yuuri again tries to get Shori to talk, but Shori is being stubborn. Suddenly, three of the guards come up to interrupt their pleasant meal and say that the Ten Aristocrats have decided to put Shori under house arrest.

Um. Excuse me. Shouldn’t you be consulting the king about something like that first, or is he seriously just a figurehead????

Yuuri questions this, but apparently even the Demon King can’t overturn the decisions of the Ten Aristocrats.

Wait, so… who’s really in charge here????

UGH. I DON’T LIKE THIS.

Anyway, Shori gets taken away, then Gunter comes running out.

Yuuri starts bitching about how Shori was taken away, but there’s no time for that! Because Sara has sent Yuuri a summons from Small Cimaron.

Big Cimaron plans on making war against the Great Demon Kingdom. Sara claims he can’t defy Big Cimaron (which is, of course, more of his BS), but he says he’ll set up a conference between Yuuri and Lanzhil. Yuuri seems to think it’s the perfect opportunity to end this without war.

I think he’s stupid.

Gwendal wonders if it’s safe to trust Sara. Yuuri says “of course!” because Sara saved him and all that. And Wolfram’s devotion to Yuuri has apparently become so blind that he deems it appropriate to trust Sara, too.

Apparently Yuuri’s naiveté is capable of rubbing off on people. DX

Gwendal, however, claims that he has some untrustworthy characteristics, according to some reports he’s received.

That arrow Sara got hit with by jumping in front of Yuuri? Yeah, it might not have been fired by Big Cimaron.

Yuuri doesn’t want to believe it. Either way, it would be dangerous to go, which never stopped him before, so I don’t see why it is this time.

Then Conrad turns the conversation to Shori and Yuuri starts whining to Gwendal about he and the Aristocrats placing him under house arrest. Gwendal says it’s just to keep Shori quiet.

Because Shori not talking at all must not have been quiet enough for them. D:

But the Aristocrats distrust Shori because of it, so they’re putting him under house arrest for his safety or whatever. Or at least that’s what Murata says.

Outside, Gisela’s getting the troops ready. Do they not have any other commanding officers or what?? DX

Greta and Anissina are watching. Greta’s being emo because everything’s going wrong, and Anissina reassures her.

If someone would actually do something, that would be great.

Yuuri and some of the others go to the Temple to try and talk to Shinou, but Ulrike says he’s busy meditating. Riiiiiiight…

Yuuri’s bummed because he’d hoped talking to him would help, but Yuuri should know by now that when he needs Shinou’s help, Shinou will be busy or indisposed. That’s just how he works.

Later, Conrad and Yuuri are having a little chat in Yuuri’s room.

Yuuri really wants to stop the war, and he’s sad that some of the others don’t trust Sara. After all, Sara’s just looking after the people of Small Cimaron!

Right, Yuuri. Small Cimaron. His own country. His own people. Which means he has his own motives and desires that aren’t always going to coincide with yours, because you’re the king of a different country.

Yuuri ends the conversation by whining about how pathetic he is.

And because of this, Conrad decides to partake in some emoness, too, and he goes outside to stand by one of his mother’s flower gardens in the rain.

Gisela comes out to talk to him real quick. Neither of them want war either. Then Conrad asks Gisela if she’ll take care of the flowers.

Um. What? Doesn’t she have more important things to do? DX

Whatever. Gisela says “sure!” and then Conrad just… walks away. DDDDD:

Jerk.

He goes back inside with a “grr!” look on his face, and he’s magically dry. He comes by Dakaskos who’s guarding a door and was told by Gwendal not to let anyone in. But Conrad gives him his “grr!” face and Dakaskos backs off by punching himself.

So Conrad successfully breaks into Shori’s room and tries to convince him to talk.

Shori continues to claim he doesn’t remember, but Conrad knows what game he’s playing. He just wants to protect Yuuri and yada yada. But he should tell Yuuri because Yuuri’s being really emo right now and this might end in a war.

Shori has a flashback of when he was with Janus.

Something about him being used and not running and ending up as a sacrifice. Janus says they could just go get Yuuri to use the sword for them because he has the same power and he’d want to help the people of Seisakoku, or whatever it’s called. Because Yuuri can’t just mind his own business and stick to his own kingdom, he’s got to go meddle around in other people’s affairs, too.

It’s because of that that Shori doesn’t want to say anything, because he wants to protect Yuuri. Yuuri would do exactly as Janus claimed he would, and then end up exhausting his powers and probably dying, because he’s too kind and he trusts people too easily. Conrad says that’s why they follow him, then asks Shori to take care of Yuuri.

That’s kinda your job, Conrad. Just sayin’.

This seems to affect Shori, though, because he goes to the room where Yuuri, Murata, and the Ten Aristocrats are waiting for him. The others are waiting outside because they’re all nosy as hell.

Finally, after twenty minutes of going back and forth over this shit, Shori tells everyone what happened. Yuuri wants to do exactly what Janus claimed he would, which Shori thinks is stupid.

Outside, Gisela is looking after the flowers. She spies a dying one and looks sad. She secretly has the hots for Conrad. Brb shipping Conrad/Gisela now.

On the super fast boat, Conrad is standing around trying to look badass as he single-handedly goes to deal with their enemies.

In Small Cimaron, Sara is wondering who will come.

Why, Conrad, of course.

DX

My Thoughts
This episode seemed like a colossal waste of time to me. D: Everyone just kinda stood around talking and didn’t do anything, until the end. Leave it to Conrad to go off and take care of things, since no one else seems to want to. Except Yuuri, but he doesn’t always see the danger in his actions.

Anyway, apparently the Ten Aristocrats can make decisions without the king and pretty much order him around. Not too sure how I feel about that, but Yuuri hasn’t pitched a major fit about it yet, so he’s chill enough with it for now.
