Episode 106: Invocation

Jan 17, 2010 12:41

Sorry for the out of orderness! I didn't want mikagechan to worry about putting Episode 107 up if she already had it done. Oh, and I suppose I should include obligatory link to episodes (community locked, of course!) but… Oh what the heck. Here ya go XD

Obligatory Title Screen! Did you like it?

See all the boys (and girl) stare at each other! Tis very amusing because Shouri has laid the mother load of all answers on Yuuri. He's not returning to Shin Makoku with them! It's a really good thing the awkward moment of doom is broken up Ranjeel's utterly idiotic attack on the White Raven fortress.

Aka, boulders are FUN :D

|

Anyways, Shouri and Alazon run off with the sword leaving Conrad to look all manly saving Yuuri from evil blocks falling from the sky! Mmm… Conrad/Yuuri sandwich...

Meanwhile, while the boulders continue falling from the sky, Murata and Ken snoop outside a stairwell. This is probably where they found that Geneus Houseki stone. Ken mentions they need to find Shibuya first before Big Cimaron finds them. I'm guessing it's because Yuuri has a tendency to just run in and destroy/save everyone. Or, y'know, prevent war from breaking out?

|

Funny how Josak just nods and agrees without saying a word. XD

And Ranjeel's army manages to wear down the magic users to get into the castle! Oh my. Things are really starting to heat up!

*coughs*

Conrad then advises Yuuri to leave Shouri behind because Shouri is in no lasting danger (re: Alazon wants to use him) and because the walls are about to collapse. It's a good thing Murata and Josak catches up to them here because they're able to knock some sense into Yuuri and convince him to leave.

Ranjeel actually shows some sense as he realizes that the white ravens are giving in too easily to Ranjeel's army. I do adore how Geneus agrees with him! Pffffffffft. He'd be great at hide and seek yes/yes?

I do find it a little sad how Geneus basically paints Alazon as a heartless woman capable of discarding even the White Ravens once she's gotten what she wants out of them. Poor men.

In repayment for Ranjeel's help in obtaining what they wanted (I'm assuming the sword here), Geneus does offer to give one piece of advice after he blows everyone away with his manliness!. The advice? Leave this place at once otherwise they'll meet a fate worse than death.

Funny how they all end up at the exact same place even though coming from two different tunnels leading outside the fortress! Yes. Funny that…

Murata has several good things to say after they've caught everyone up on the current situation. The first is that Alazon has a very large amount of human magical abilities and that Shouri would never really turn his back on Yuuri completely. He also points out they should return to Shin Makoku right away.

It really doesn't take long for Ranjeel's army to surround the white raven's. Alazon tries to persuade Shouri into using the sword by telling him he can save all of them.

Shouri is moved into acting when a Ranjeel soldier slices up a White Raven. Just look at that face! *wibbles over Shouri*

|

Alazon seems a bit startled although the way the voice acting is done, it almost sounds orgasmic… at the swords reaction to Shouri , which is glowing brightly. Kind of reminds me of sparkly toe syndrome ala Beauty and the Beast…

Interesting enough, exposure to the unsheathed sword seems almost painful for Alazon… and I need to get my head out of the gutter. *headdesk* It's probably just eyes hurting from all that bright light. Y'know, wincing...

|

Oh! Shouri gets to glow a lovely gold color! I approve. Until he stabs the sword into the ground and causes a giant forest of vines to appear.

It's like Sleeping Beauty now! Vines capturing all the soldiers, tearing down equipment….

… making bondage fodder out of kings.

|

At least Yuuri's there to save the day! I do wonder how they were able to tell that was the sword Alford had found in the village from so far away… Eagle vision?

Murata makes a distinction between Shouri doing the giant wall of thorn display versus the sword using Shouri's powers for it's own evil purposes! So, basically, we have AI here peeps! Or another Morgif. We're just lacking the face.

Aw, Wolfram's concerned for Yuuri and tries to prevent him from running off into a giant thorny death!

Heh, this place really is like Sleeping Beauty! To bad Alazon is no Maleficent.

… Wait. Does this make Josak, Wolfram, and Conrad the three fairy godmothers? I'm voting Josak = Flora, Conrad = Fauna, and Wolfram is Merry Weather!

And then Yuuri goes running off through the forest. *sigh*

Pfft! I always crack up at the look on Shouri's face. HEH.

Aw, Yuuri tries to talk Shouri down! By bribing him with Mama's curry :D And that game Shouri bribed Conrad into buying. Somehow though, I don't think Bob getting angry at Shouri for skipping a day of Maou training is going to be all that effective though.

And then through the magic of brotherly love, they reverse the forest and smite the evil Maleficent!

To bad it tuckers them out something really mighty.

You know, Yuuri kind of looks like a rabid squirrel when it comes to protecting his family… But at least Alazon feels a bit of the burn over having to fight Yuuri at all for Shouri. XD

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! The entire gang is standing between Alazon and Shouri! This can't get any better.

|

*sigh* and dear old Geneus has to come in and steal the sword again. Doesn't he have anything better to do? Like get his own life? Then again, I do love how Geneus and Murata both kind of give each other the evil eye. <3

*wibbles* Why just look at Yuuri's face when Shouri agrees to return to Yuuri's side homeland! :D

Ps. Ranjeel needs to get a new hobby and stop blaming all of his impotency failures on Yuuri and the Demon King. >.<

PPs. Saralegui is supposed to join Big Cimaron as an ally against the Demon King. And, being the evil manipulative king that he is, states to his advisors that he will be leading his troops! Ah Saralegui. Keep this up and I may just actually fall in love with you… (but you still need to lose the glasses).

Thoughts:

Now we know what that sword does and why it protected that one place so efficiently. It basically killed anyone and everyone who tried to get into the borders! Although if it took up that much of Shouri's and Yuuri's power, I'd hate to think how many men they went through to keep their lands protected. That can't have been an easy job.

Also, however difficult this section of the arc is to watch (mainly just because I watch each episode twice in a row practically when doing these summaries), I did get a kick out of the whole forest of thorns thing. If you can't tell, I was a huge Sleeping Beauty fan as a kid ^^ To bad Yuuri didn't wake up his 'princess' with a kiss XD I bet that would have made Shouri's day!

Um, other than that I look forward to seeing how Saralegui is going to commit the upcoming political fiasco?
