(no subject)

We were bombed by mail curtailed by the clerks (on order) earlier in the week. We also had a bulky circular and a ton of parcels. Despite that, most of us were expected to create an hour downtime. That was impossible. I cut everything I could and only managed about a half hour. But then the surfeit of parcels took up a good chunk of that. And it kept raining, which bogged down travel speeds.

I called in at 3:30 but receive no response from any number. I resorted to leaving the PM a message. I called again around 4:15 and reached Puddin', estimating that I wouldn't be done until about 5:40pm. That proved spot on, but then I was temporarily trapped in some hideous traffic on a main through road. I escaped that and went around the long way back to the office. I made it in time, unlike many other carriers who arrived around 6:30pm or later.

I was too tired to deal with crafty things.
