Work:

So, that was an exciting sixty hours of work this week, but I would have been quite happy with about twelve hours less. But, y'know, that's not really interesting.

Skiing:

More interesting was this past weekend when I went skiing up at Jack Frost, then Blue Mountain. Last trip of the season, around here. The snow was getting mucky so hordes of people were getting caught on wet drifts and falling over mini moguls.

I managed to film myself going down Blue Mountain. I was getting tired and wobbly by then. It's not too exciting, except for that guy dressed like a banana about halfway through.

In between skiing, we visited Cabela's where I found some more cheap silk long johns, ate at Hooter's again because the food there really is pretty good *shrug* and enjoyed a hot tub. Basically, we had a condensed vacation.

Horses?:

Aha, but the week gets even more interesting. I discovered stables about a quarter mile from the post office. I must have passed them hundreds of times. I stopped in and arranged riding lessons. While waiting for my evaluation (today), I visited a couple of times, helped feed the horses, asked a million questions and pet several cats.

Now, the owner had told me my evaluation would be Western but in her exhaustion (she's been tending a nursing foal whose mother fell ill), she forgot, waved a hand and sent me off with the English instructor. :$ But I did fine. She had me posting at a trot within a half hour, scolding me for crossing the reins and praised my habitual posture. Go figure.

Anyway, it was fun.
