I was up early to muster for the parade. Keith arrived from the airport but had trouble finding my car and stood in the wrong line for his badge, so he wound up watching instead of marching. I gotta say, it was awesome. I met up with Keith afterward, he got into costume, and we went to check out the walk of fame. He spotted Claudia Christian and was going to shyly walk off but I engaged her in conversation, explaining that he was a huge fan, so he called him back. Which meant he wound up with a signed photo, free CD, and she even took a picture with us... even though there was no photography in that room. Rock on. :D
We picked up something to eat from the Peachtree, wandered around a bit but soon decided we were both tired and there was nothing urgent until 8:30pm. So we went back to the hotel for a nap. Oh, and Keith lost his comm badge so I had to make him another with some foam board and paint. e_e Anyway, we came back to join in the ST costume world record attempt, which we beat with 571. I'd been worried that our costumes (ST:Online/2380's) would be ass, but we had among the best. While few recognized they weren't fan-designs, we got a number of compliments on cut/design/material choice and one person who merely asked where we'd bought them.
Since we were hungry, we walked up to the Durango Grill where our waiter turned out to be cosplaying Edward (Twilight). The food was great. We saw part of the After Dark contest, then checked back to see if the ST party was worth attending. It was just loud music and alcohol in a chilly room, so we went back to the hotel.
