We're watching the director's commentary stuff from the Star Trek DVD. First, there was... something I don't remember. Then they tried to explain how the boring, two-dimensional Romulans were actually interesting. Then they explained how they wanted to make the giant red monster look like something too disgusting to touch by making it look like a giant flower vagina. Which they didn't actually say, but I think it says something about the designers. Then they admitted the whole story was centered around the Kirk/Spock romance, oh, but not that way.

Thank you commentary track. You've just turned my perceptions of the movie into one of those icky-vagina slash fics. Congratulations.
