....wow. The comics are sure trying to rope in female readers.

They sure are! And after they finish roping, they're sent to a butcher and chopped up, put in vacuum packs and then in a fridge. Yay!

Damn right. A woman's place is in the fridge.

This is why I haven't really gotten into comics fandom, ever. Despite occasional awesomeness as represented by my icon.

*hisses and boos at movie mystique* Mystique/Irene and their adopted daughter Rogue was so much cooler. *sulks* We didn't even get fucking Rogue in the movies. *hisses again*

Anyway. I got into comics when I was in my early teens, so I'm doomed. But I know when to drop books that suck, so that's something.

Oh yes, Mystique is mostly just a blue ninja with little autonomy in the movies, and they didn't even touch on the most interesting parts of her character or story. (So I guess I've got a little bit of comics fandom in me, even if I haven't read nearly enough Marvel to really qualify...a lot of my knowledge of canon is secondhand.)

Mm. I'm more like a sponge. I learn things and don't remember where I learned them, five minutes later. Makes for a every interesting fanon view (often a better one).
