I don't really know why I go onto here now. Not that the people I'm LJ friends with are boring, but I don't really connect with most of the entries. What I wanted to say was that sometimes I drink beer on ice and I don't really care who knows about it. Also I like the show Roseanne and sometimes I look forward to watching it. It used to be the same with Cheers, but it's not on as much.
I understand that on LJ people have friends who read their entries and because of that people feel like they need to tailor their posts to what their friends will absorb so of course it is not a real journal. I just would like to hear more thoughts and less boring stuff.
That's lame to say because I'm drunk and the only time I ever post on here is when I'm drunk so please just go about your normal business.

The Disney takeover of ABC in the mid-nineties and the response of sitcoms having to make Disneyland/world themed episodes makes me a little bit queasy and makes me feel cheated that I never realized why it was happening earlier. I loved my TGIF, and I'm glad I never went to Disney world.

My godfather (who was dating my mom when my dad met her) went to Disneyworld on a bunch of acid with my dad when he (not my dad, or I'd be rich) passed the bar exam. He was also in a wheelchair from a bad motorcycle accident. My dad claims that he was the babysitter and completely sober, but I have my doubts. My dad also once told me about going to see The Band once on acid and that the only thing he remembered was literally seeing music coming out of the speaker, and being really afraid of the dude next to him.

3rd Disney rant: My Granfather, Arthur (Jack) James Zander, was an animator. He passed away last December and I never realized how famous he was until he died. He was 99 at the time, which is pretty amazing in its own right. His accomplishment are that he was the original animator of Jerry the mouse ( of Tom and Jerry), his company animated Charlie the Tuna and the Vlasic stork. He was also an all around awesome guy and Vodka martini enthusiast (which I don't encourage but I can't place judgment upon). Once again, to bring it back, as an animator when I asked him what one thing he was proud of was he said "Isaac my boy, I'm proud that I have always been a Gentleman, and that I have never worked for Disney".

I didn't even mention that Walt was a racist crazy guy and a fucking Nazi sympathizer. My grandpa was sort of bigoted too, but I didn't know Disney
