Banned Books Week is coming up at the end of September (specifically, September 26 - October 3, 2009):
http://bannedbooksweek.org/ Usually I remember or notice it when it's nearly over or JUST after it's over. So I'm being PROACTIVE this year.
BAAAAABY mongoooooses and their paranoid mama:

Dude.
Tac Bac, short for Tactical Canned Bacon. Don't head into the zombie apocalypse without it!
FUN:
Dragged
kimberlogic to the Super88 in Alston to experience The Food Court. Tasty! Afterward, we went shopping in the newly reorganized (but not completely stocked) supermarket part of the place and bought lots of snacks and ingredients from all over the Asian part of the world.
I played a video game! Yeah, it was exciting (for me) cuz it doesn't happen very often. It was
rmd's copy of
Left For Dead (aka
L4D) from Valve, which we played together. I sucked because it was my first time (the two AIs consistently scored better than I did), but it was fun. I'm very glad I don't have to consciously manipulate 2 separate joy sticks to maneuver my own body.
BRAIN:
Saw my original drug lady this past week & described to her my drug regimen changes & asked her to contact the new psychiatrist lady. So hopefully, between the two of them, they'll manage to communicate about me before my next appointment with the doc. I'm not ditching original drug lady yet, as she's gotten me through a boatload of crap and I don't have anyone else local to talk to, but I'm taking things one step (and one appointment) at a time.
RANDOM:
Finally made it to the Davis Square Farmer's Market early enough to get a sun-dried tomato & basil goat cheese log before they ran out. YUM! Ate it spread on chunks torn from a loaf of seeded ficelle (a small loaf of bread covered with all kinds of tasty seeds--sesame, poppy, flax, caraway, sunflower--with a crusty outside and soft inside) from the Hi-Rise Bakery stall.
