Family and friends

Had a family lunch today. Probably sounds quite normal to most people. However, this was a family lunch with a difference. It was in Watford, Herts which is where my mum grew up. Her cousin and his family are over from NZ. They moved there when he was 5 and that was the last time my mum saw him. So, he has never met my dad or (more importantly!!) me!! It was nice but lots of people I didn't know talking about other people I didn't know! Got to see my parents though so that was all good!
Then this evening, I went to a potluck dinner organised by the new kids that are doing my MSc course! It was in Green College and OMG, the food was AMAZING! Now I know the idea is that you take a dish from your country but I took Greek salad (one of the few things I learnt last year - Thanks Helena!!)!! However, being an "international grad school" there are so many nationalities and consequently so much amazing food. Strangely most people opted to make puddings. The French guy (Julius) made two really good desserts and even made the pastry himself - they will do well if they can all cook this well for each other!! Scaryly though, they are all talking about dissertations etc..
Right, well two entries in one day doubles my entire previous effort - that'll do for now (still not very exciting though!!)
