i come to wonder how quotes came about.
who started these quotes, and how does it get so popular and known that it's used by so many people in the world?
there's a few quotes out there that i really like, for instance,
"you have to wake up in order to make your dream come true".
inspirational indeed. problem is implementing this quote, cos i never seem to wake up.
but somehow some quotes are overused.
for example; "life is like a box of chocolates.. you never know what you're gonna get"
how is that inspirational in any way? how does that improve mankind? somehow "box of chocolates" sounds totally random to me. this quote is used so much that the chocolates had become stale *kadusshh lame joke*
for all you know i could come up with my own quotes as well, like..
"life is like sex. sometimes you want it so much and yay you get it, sometimes you want it and.. you just have to make do with..."
i shall not complete that sentence as it may cause suspicion, or perhaps rumors that i'm a nymphomaniac on the loose. yes guys, the shadows you see at the hostel windows while showering is not your imagination.
WAHAHAHHA. okay seriously, nini, stop.
or, another one like
"life is like being a tortoise. sometimes you fall on your back and you can never get up. or at least struggle severely before being able to do so, or while struggling you get smashed to pieces by a truck"
okay that's rather depressing.
let's adjust it to a more happier tone.
"life is like a box of chocolates.." wait that's already done.
"life is like being high on crack. the world's THAT beautiful" .... okay that's a bit twisted. not that i know. =/
or
"life is like being a pop star. you sacrifice your dignity in exchange for wealth"
no offense to all popstars out there.
hey i can think up of so many quotes. maybe i should drop fcm altogether and go on a tour around the world, and come back, and claim that i thought up of all these quotes while "observing life and mankind at its best and worst" or some bullshit like that.
