Muhammed vult?

Why does it seem that this is the overly-zealous Muslim reaction to everything*? Cartoon depicting Muhammad appears in a paper several thousand miles away? "KILL THEM!" A schoolteacher names a teddy bear 'Muhammad'? "KILL HER!" A bowl of milk was spilled? "CALL THE FIRING SQUAD!"
*Note: I am in no way intending to sound anti-Muslim or Islamophobic or anything like that; I'm not. This kind of zealotry is seen in many religions and is the kind of insanity that helped fuel Inquisitions and witch hunts throughout history and is, in my opinion, a non-denominational method of spreading insanity, pushing one's beliefs unto others and basically a stirring shit power play on a huge and dangerous scale. I am also not addressing ALL Muslims, just the ones who feel that, really, executing a schoolteacher over her name choice of a teddy bear is a reasonable and rational response.
