The disturbing thing is that I've eaten and in fact enjoyed one of the taste sensations on this list...and if you think that description of natto is bad try and imagine the impracticality (and lingering after effects) of eating that if you have a beard. I also encountered silkworm larvae when I went to Seoul but you tend to be able to smell a boiling pot of those before you can see them so there is little risk of unsuspecting westerners deciding to try them.
For the record the one that really gave me gag reflex was the pig skin...people do this all the time in fear factor of course...but nobody was offering this guy a million dollars he just went out and munched on bugs and rotten corn for the hell of it...I raise my glass to him.
