Engagement and other random things...

So, Friday night two fo my closest friends got engaged. I love them both dearly, and I'm incrediblely excited for them. They are an adorable couple. THey've been together for 3+ years now, and I can't imagine either of them being with anyone else. The worst part is that most people (those who don't really know them) are very skeptical and negative about their engagement. They say, "she's too young. How do she know? She's only a freshman" (in college). Blah blah blah. And I'm really kind of tired of hearing it. They are both extremely mature and wise people. They are not rushing into anything. At the request of her parents, they're planning to wait three years to get married, so she won't be married and in school. I just don't understand why people can't be supportive and happy for them. This is what they want, and it's right.
