there must be some kind of baby boom- including myself, i know 9 pregnant women giving birth between Dec and May. at least there will be no shortage of playmates. i recently posted updated belly pix on my baby blog: http://kiwilust.wordpress.com/
i'm absolutely dreading the possibility of waiting in line to vote. 4 years ago, the company i worked for actually gave us the day off thankfully, because i stood in line for 4 hours. we're going to try to do early voting tomorrow morning, but i've heard even the lines for that are way long. *sigh*
shawn and i spent most of the weekend in training to be volunteers with hospice atlanta. i've been so impressed with the way hospice has treated my family during my grandma's last days, as well as they care they gave shawn's grandmother and relatives of a few other friends, i thought they'd be a great organization to give back to. the work will certainly be difficult, but rewarding. it could be working at the front desk in the center, administrative paperwork, or visiting patients and families. i have to do a pee test for them this week- it will be my first! somehow i've never had to take one for a job.
looking forward to our trip to houston next weekend for a wedding. it might be our last "vacation" for a while. of course we'll be in h'ville for new years as well- i do hope it involves some sort of potluck or buffet cuz man can i eat these days!
