I LOVE NAKA-KON
I went to Naka-Kon last weekend, and let me tell you something: it was amazing.
I went with my brother and a friend I persuaded to go with me at the last minute, and the whole weekend was fantabulous. I do have pictures, and I was thinking of showing you guys my Kushina cosplay, but want to know what? My brother was in charge of the camera, and he should never be in charge of cameras. I went to look up the picture he had taken of me in my cosplay at the con, and I almost died of embarrassment. I don't look flattering at all so no, you will not get to see it until I at least get some proper lighting, damn it. xD
Well, unless I can track down the pictures some people took of the Naruto photo shoot I was invited to... Or one of the people who asked for my picture... (<--Doubtful, since I have no idea who the various random people were) WE SHALL SEE.
Anyways, I was really happy I was able to go to this! I went to a bunch of different panels, and I think my favorite was probably the Naruto Open Discussion, Quinton Flynn Q&A (HE'S THE VOICE OF IRUKA AHHHHHHHH), and the Yaoi 101 panel.
I just about died in the Quinton Flynn panel. At the very end someone asked him to do his Iruka voice, and-keep in mind this whole time I'd been creepily muttering under my breath "Screw Axel, do the Iruka voice"-well, you probably don't want to know how loudly I screamed. xDDD He said generic stuff like, "Come on, Naruto, let's go and get some ramen!" but I didn't even care. Iruka's. Voice.

Anyway, moving on~
The Yaoi 101 panel was fun, in that we all played this fun game in which we had to try and guess who the seme and uke was in a picture. I was pretty bad at it! Haha. But the friend I dragged along was amazing at it, I swear. She's been into yaoi longer than I have, what can I say? And I took something away from the experience! Apparently, whenever I see a yaoi couple where one of them is small, cute and holding a bunny, they are always the seme. No questions. Quote unquote: "THOSE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE MESSED UP, MAN." Hahahahaha. I love my friend. xD
We had to leave that panel when it dissolved into straight-up porn, though. =3= Neither my friend nor I could hack it. We're weak.
Also, I spent all of my money on SasuNaru art. There was an artist there selling a bunch of it, and... Yeah.... I'm not kidding when I say I bought nothing but SasuNaru art at the convention. xDDD I bought two large posters, two regular prints, and a picture from her. I wanted more, but I ran out of money... ;-; I HAVE AN ADDICTION, OKAY?
My poor friend, though, putting up with me through all of that. Haha. You don't even know. She's pretty apathetic to Naruto and my OTP in general since she never watched the anime or read the manga, and she had to sit there while I went into major fangirl mode with the artist and practically drooled all over the prints. xDDD If my friend didn't have such a mouth on her, I'd wonder if she was a saint.

Also, the first time other than the photo shoot when I was asked for a picture of me in my cosplay was interesting, to say the least. My wig had messed up, so I went in the bathroom to fix it and was practically accosted by a fellow Naruto fan. xDDD This is how the conversation basically went down:
"OH MY GOSH, ARE YOU COSPLAYING AS KUSHINA?"
"HECK YES I AM."
"YOU'RE THE FIRST KUSHINA COSPLAY I'VE SEEN!"
"I'M THE FIRST KUSHINA COSPLAY I'VE SEEN, TOO!"
"YAAAAAAAAAAY!"
"YAAAAAAAAAAY!"
"CAN I TAKE YOUR PICTURE, RIGHT HERE IN THE BATHROOM?"
"SURE, WHY NOT?"
"*click* I AM SO TALKING ABOUT THIS ON FACEBOOK! I RANDOMLY MET A KUSHINA IN THE BATHROOM!"
Fangirling with people is such fun. *3*
AND THE PHOTO SHOOT. Oh, God, the photo shoot. There weren't too many Naruto cosplayers there, unfortunately, but it was fun! And guys. GUYS.
THE NARUTO AND SASUKE COSPLAYERS THERE RECREATED THE KISS SCENE AHHHHHHHHH!
And of course, I was being a total creeper by squeeing from the sidelines and yelling things like, "NARUTO, YOUR MOTHER APPROVES!" and stuff. I... I couldn't help myself. orz
But the part that was especially fun was when a Kakashi cosplayer ran in on the scene and imitated pushing Naruto into Sasuke. x3
The only bad thing about the photo shoot was that my wig chose that time, no other time during the entire convention, to mess up! It started slipping off, and I just... It was horrible. I know I'm a redhead in real life, but I was never teased about looking like a tomato like Kushina was! I was teased about looking like a pumpkin! There's a difference, and I just... Why, wig? Why?
Instead of going to the dance, my friend and I decided to people watch everyone who went in. Well, before they started lining up, there was this one really, really good Kakashi cosplay that kept walking by. I don't even know how many times he walked by, but every time I could barely contain myself. It was pretty great, because right after I turned to my friend and told her that I was going freaking jump that Kakashi cosplayer if he didn't stop, they announced that people could start lining up for the ball. xD You were saved, Kakashi cosplayer, but just barely...
And there was this one person who dressed up as girl!Naruto to go to the ball, and when she passed by I told her I loved her cosplay, and she hugged me. ^///^ I love meeting fellow Naruto fans.
Also, may I complain? There was a stupid lack of gameverse Pokemon cosplayers! I saw some people dressed up as N and Touko, but other than that... Do you want to know what the closest thing I found to a Red cosplayer was? Someone who obviously thought that Satoshi and Red were the same person. =3= They had Fire's jacket, Satoshi's hat, and a random assortment of stuff... I was sad. And there was no sign at all of Green.
There were some good animeverse cosplayers, though! My friend and I saw a Satoshi with a Pikachu whose cheeks lit up batting with Team Rocket. xDDD They were having a battle right in the middle of the hall! I actually have a picture of that, because my friend took one with her phone...

But yeah, that was a lot of fun to see. x3
Anyway, I could literally go on and on about the stuff I did, but I this is already long enough. xDDD Sorry 'bout that, by the way. And to think, I only touched on a little bit of what I did... o.o But seriously, I'll stop talking your ears off now. Haha. I can't wait to go next year!
