Violated

I lost my wallet today.

Well, I thought I had, since normally it's something that absentminded Monica would do.

But I didn't lose my wallet.

Someone stole it. In the three minutes I left my coat in Eckhart library, someone searched my coat pockets and took my wallet.

And spent $600 I didn't have with my Citibank Debit card. In two hours.

My State ID was in my wallet.
So was my UCID, which I need in order to eat in the dining hall, get into the library, enter the dorm, and ride the bus. My dorm room key, and my bike lock key, were attached to my wallet, too.

My socal security card was in my wallet.

I have a final exam in Statistics tomorrow.

This is a nightmare.

I filed a police report and cancelled my account, but now I have absolutely no money. Even if I get a temporary ATM card, there's no money in my account to withdraw. I have to replace the lock and keys to my dorm, go to the Social Security Office, get a new SS card, and ask for a credit report to see if anyone opened accounts with my old social security card.

What makes me really angry is that they visited the same Jewel Osco 5 times. And no one bothered to ask for ID. If they were using a debit card, they must have used the credit option, which requires a signature. No one cares. No one checks. This angers me.

I'm pissed as hell. I doubt they'll ever catch who did this, but I hope they rot in a place far worse than hell.
