i hope everyone had a pleasant transition from last year to this one. mine was mostly lovely, spent with family, including sisters and the nephew of awesome. he's still a joy. he'll be 12 in march. *crosses fingers the joyfulness holds a little longer ( Read more... )

That's why it's good to NOT attend things you normally would now and again. It gives people a chance to miss you and realize how much they count on your presence! Keeps them in line! ;)

lol. i never thought of it like that. i actually am the one most likely to skip family events.

*massive hugs* Happy 2013 to you! Your great-niece made of awesome too, especially when she reminds your family that your lack of presence was noted. Does that make sense?

it makes perfect sense. she's a darling. really, they are all awesome. i just don't know as fully the others' awesomeness, as they are newer to this planet.

i will try to take a pic over the next few days - hopefully the sun will cooperate to give me some nice light so you can actually see it, lol.
