Yesterday happened to be the "Open Mountain Celebration Festival" (that's what the kanji allegedly said) at Osu Kannon in Nagoya, and what better way to celebrate it than with naked dancers covered in gold paint entertaining everyone on the temple steps. I'm living in the centre of the Cthulhu-verse way over here in Japan. Japanese scientists caught the tentacle of a giant squid (plus some photos) a few years ago, and now they get footage of a frilled shark, one of those creatures I wouldn't want to meet on a dark night down in the depths.
