Like half the rest of the country, Fuck It's Freezing. Apparently we're the lucky ones, we still have temperatures in double digits. I have to say, too, I have never been so fucking glad for my castle walls right now. Foot thick walls, natural insulation because there's brick over ... something. Fill? Brick then something then brick then plaster and even after that there's real wood paneling in some places. Plus I'm in the south. Not really the deep south, but definitely far south enough. I'll just huddle up here for a bit. About the only thing I wish is that we had gotten the chimney swept before this, because I would love to be able to light a fire in that fireplace.
Stuff, things. I think I've managed to come up with a suitable number of costumes for Dragon*Con, both in terms of options and in terms of I can totally build this before Dragon*Con. Starting this coming weekend and continuing on, etc. This weekend is simple stuff, though, dyeing for Faye Valentine. Well, dyeing and painting. That ought to be most of that costume done in a day, then, and then it's starting the rebuilds for Cheetara and Silk Spectre. I'm debating whether I want to do full spandex for Silk Spectre with a suit of leather over for the black parts or do a sort of spandex Harlequin suit. Decisions.
Of course then I got I'll Tell Me Ma stuck in my head on loud repeat and now I'm really awake. Goddamn.
