Overview
It’s a common theme in shojo manga for a girl to randomly find herself living with either A) the boy of her dreams, or B) a boy she hates but will inevitably fall in love with if given enough time alone together. LDK is pattern B.
Closer Look
Although there is nothing particularly original about the story, the execution is well done compared to the competition. The characters are likeable (as much as a dumb high school boy can be anyway) and the pace is fast enough that you aren’t left bored (much).
I don’t know if it was just my copy of the movie but something about the sound was off. Everything sounded too close in a way that was fake and distracting.
Bottom Line
Not bad for what it is, LDK is a cute love story for a lazy afternoon.
