24 (Saw the first season, it was GREAT, but then didn't keep going)
Rescue Me* (I've seen the first 3 or 4 seasons of this and love it- but then I was home one summer during it and didn't want to watch with my daddy cause awkward.)
Stargate Atlantis (I watched a good bit of this at one point in Sci-Fi reruns... but I don't remember where I stopped or anything. I do remember it was good!)
The Golden Girls (Currently through S2, Ep 4- loss of cable has made this difficult. :()
SeaQuest DSV (Watched this when I was younger, would like to see it as a grown up!)
666 Park Avenue* (Watched as aired, really liked, still need to see last 4 episodes before we're all done. Still bummed this got canceled.)

TV I Have Finished or Stopped Watching in 2016
Doctor Who: Spearhead from Space (Jan 29)(Our first DW Serial of the year, our first Jon Pertwee serial, and our first serial in color! WOO! Sadly this one was pretty dull- lots of exposition/set up that, being a current Who fan, I already know.. but I imagine was pretty great in 1970. Excited to continue the Pertwee years!)
Star Trek: The Next Generation (Started 2/12/2015; Completed 3/19/2016)(Mark Watches)(WOW I DID IT! One of the MAJOR gaps in all my geek cred is filled in. While I still have several Trek series' to finish, this one feels pretty major. And it was thoroughly enjoyable for the most part. Some SERIOUS duds, yes, but the cast helped with a whole lot of stuff. Love Sir Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, Mirna Sirtis, Levar Burton.... all just so great. Thrilled to have done this.)
Galavant (Canceled)(So sad this was canceled! It was clever and hilarious and so fun and just... yeah. Super smart show, very well done. BUMMER.)
Marvel's Agent Carter (Canceled)(HEARTBROKEN this was canceled! While I didn't like S2 as much as S1, it was still REALLY good. I have some small hope it will get rescued by Netflix (since other Marvel shows exist there), but for now... bye Peggy Carter. You were fantastic.)
Doctor Who & the Silurians (Disc One: 6/19/16, Disc Two: 6/26/16)(Actually really quite liked this serial! It was a good story, it had more of Lethbridge-Stewart, it had the Doctor being grumpy & correct, and I really liked Liz Shaw. A LOT.)
How I Met Your Mother (Started 2/15/16, Completed 6/25/16)(Re-Watch with Joe)(I fell in love with the characters all over again, and I miss them all over again, and they fucked up the last 2 minutes of this otherwise amazing show all over again. Sigh. Still love it. Saw more problems with it this time, but still loved it.)
The Vicar of Dibley (Started 6/29/16, Completed 7/22/16)(This was extremely clever and enjoyable! Irreverant, intelligent, and with a fat leading lady who was viewed as highly desirable. What more could I want?!?)
Keeping Up Appearances (Started 7/14/16, Completed 8/22/16)(While Hyacinth Bucket is a full on gift & treasure, this show got quite one note after awhile. Most of the supporting cast (excluding Richard & Elizabeth) weren't that engaging, I flat out couldn't stand the second Rose actress, and again- it got a bit one note. Still fun, though.)
Doctor Who: Ambassadors of Death (9/2/16)(The pacing of this was really terrible. It should have been an exciting 4 episode serial and instead it was a super dull 7 episode serial with the seed of a good story. Ah, well.)
Justice League (Started 8/21/2016, Completed 9/19/16)(We finished what was available on Netflix Instant, at least. Sadly that's only 2 seasons. But they were 2 really good seasons! Hopefully more will make it's way there eventually- turns out the other seasons are covered under Justice League Unlimited! Woo!)
Raising Hope (Re-Watch)(Still great <3)
Justice League Unlimited (Started 9/21/2016, Completed 11/3/2016)(Very good, though having SO many new heroes made it a little hard to emotionally invest in all of them, plus I missed the Original 7 being more in focus. Still, highly enjoyable.)
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (11/26/16)(Put this in my "will watch again" column, as well, in hopes that there is a S2!!! Wonderful (though not perfect) trip back to Stars Hollow. Missed these gals. <3)
Don't Trust the B-- in Apt 23 (Re-Watch)(Started 11/28/16, Finished 12/20/16)(Ugh this was so good why only 2 seasons whyyyyyy)

Movies Watched in 2016
Big Hero 6 (Jan 2)(Re-Watch)(This is such a fantastic movie; very cute and funny and sweet and bittersweet. Excited for the prospect of a sequel.)
The Adjustmen Bureau (Jan 8)(This was actually thoroughly enjoyable: a nice combination of action, romance, and sci-fi. Emily Blunt is lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed Matt Damon in this, as well. Engaging story, good plotting, not too long or too full of itself. Nice.)
Home (Jan 8)(CUTE! This was an adorable little animated movie. Sad at times, but ultimately uplifting. Plus, nice to see the main human characters be POC and women!!)
Terms of Endearment (Jan 30)(My first time ever seeing this classic 80s tearjerker! It was very good, and definitely lived up to its tearjerker name. It was not, however, as desperately sad as I thought it would be- for which I am glad.)
Room (Jan 31)(First Eva-Movie of the year! And damn it was a doozy. Super intense and so good, the acting was incredible and the story was top notch. Cried buckets in this one. Want to read the book now- or maybe try the full-cast audio recording that has been recommended to me!)
Bedknobs and Broomsticks (Feb 7)(Re-Watch)(Always LOVE LOVE LOVE this old classic. So great! And it was Joe's first time seeing it. YAY!)
Deadpool (Feb 27)(HILARIOUS. Not your average hero movie, and thank goodness for it. Don't get me wrong, I love superhero movies- but this was delightful, refreshing, and one of the funniest movies I've seen in ages- and all without "punching down" for the humor. Great job.)
Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!  (March 25)(This was awwwwwwwwwwwful and only a little in the fun way. Mostly in the OH THIS IS TERRIBLE way. Hahaha. Won't stop me from watching Sharknado 4, though!
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (April 2)(VERY cute and fun! Not as good as the first, and too many plots going on, but still lots of fun.)
Star Trek: Generations (April 2)(I actually thoroughly enjoyed this Trek outing! Good handoff from old to new, plus Data Has the Feels is THE BEST. Shocked that they killed Kirk, but he went well. Excited to continue watching the movies with the TNG crew, for sure.)
Can't Hardly Wait (April 13)(Re-watch)(I adore this quintessential 90s movie so much. It's ridiculous and amazing. The cameos in it are incredible and the sheer number of quotables is off the charts. Such a fun movie.)
Ghost (May 1)(Re-Watch)(I love this movie SO MUCH. Woke up NEEDING to watch it, so did. First time in ages. Still holds up pretty dang well, too!)
Captain America: Civil War (May 14)(This was a fantastic new Marvel outing!!! It had SO MANY FEELS and MY BABIES ARE FIGHTING and CRY but also it was super good, super funny, super action packed, and all the motivations made a lot of sense. I appreciate that we see that our heroes are truly impacted by all that's happened in their lives, by the big wars, by the losses... it's good. Can't wait for the next one!)
My Left Foot (May 31)(Glad to have seen this before it left Netflix Instant! It was very good, and I can really understand how it's such a critically acclaimed movie. The acting was out of this world from the entire cast- actually a little annoyed Daniel Day-Lewis is the only one really lauded- though he was amazing, of course. Super good!)
Me Before You (Jun 4) (While I definitely understand the criticism of this movie for ableist themes/messages, I have to say I really liked it. And sobbed and sobbed. And I will almost always appreciate a pro-assisted suicide story, to be honest.
Mad Max: Fury Road (Jun 4) (Finally saw this! Definitely understand why the world flipped out over Furiosa. I love that this was secretly Furiosa: Fury Road. Also, the way this movie dealt with disability was so vastly different from either My Left Foot or Me Before You; it was an interesting contrast.)
Minions (Jun 4)(So cute!!! This was really an adorable movie and a good addition to that franchise).
Finding Dory (Jun 22)(This was GREAT. I liked it every bit as much as the original Finding Nemo, and just found the story to be heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. I loved it, and I loved that everyone who played a major role in it was a little bit broken, but they all found ways to ask for help and move forward. Terrific.)
Independence Day: Resurgence (Jul 2)(Eh, this was alright. Nowhere NEAR as great as the original, but still had some fun times. Brent Spiner kind of saved it, to be honest. Didn't care about any of the new characters, not really. Had feels for several of the old characters, at least. Also, this was missing the humor that really made the original so great. Still, I'm sure there will be a third, and I'm sure I will see it, lol.)
Love & Other Drugs (Jul 10)(This was a fun little romcom. Predictable, as they are, but that's ok. I needed light and predictable, and Jake Gylenhaal and Anne Hathaway did right by me.)
Armageddon (Jul 17)(Re-Watch)(Woooooow this does not hold up! It was SO BAD. Laughably bad. Nostalgia was still activated, though!)
Ghostbusters (2016)(Jul 23)(THIS WAS GREAT! I loved it. Great combo of an homage to the original and lots of new stuff. The new cast was terrific, it was funny and clever, and all around a good time. Look forward to any sequels.)
Amelie (Aug 5)(Oh my this was lovely! Adorable, irreverant, creative. Reminded me of Bryan Fuller's work, stylistically. So glad to finally watch this!)
Pete's Dragon (Aug 6)(Re-Watch)(One of my childhood favorites, and I still loved it and felt it held up well! Joe did not like it as much. The animation integration wasn't as strong as you'd expect, but overall- still adore it. Love the songs, and Nora, and it's just chock full of great lessons.)
Philomena (Aug 7)(LOVELY. I really enjoyed this, and found it interesting, very well acted, and it infuriated me to hear about what was happening to Irish children. Grrrrrr.)
Zootopia (Aug 7)(OMG THIS WAS GREAT. It was CUTE and SMART and had great underlying messages and AHHHHH so good. So many Jenny Hopps feels. SO MANY.)
Kingsman: The Secret Service (Aug 19)(This was REALLY fun. A spy movie that didn't take itself too seriously, had awesome gadgets, and a pretty good plot, with fun characters and solid acting. Super pleased. Looking forward to the sequel next year.)
Florence Foster Jenkins (Aug 27)(Soooooooooo good!! Meryl Streep was incredible, and also wow what a story!!)
Star Trek: First Contact (Sept 4)(This was a thoroughly engaging Star Trek film. The plot was solid, the incorporation of so many characters from the franchise was terrific, and it was all around one of my favorites yet.)
Hotel Trannsylvania 2 (Sept 4)(Cute sequel! Enjoyable. Not notable outside of that, but still!)
Tomorrowland (Sept 11)(This was thoroughly enjoyable and fun, although a bit too long. Primary criticism is how ridiculously white it all was- I think there was only one brief POC who had a speaking role, and that is RIDICULOUS, especially when envisioning a world of the future.)
Top Gun (Sept 17)(Re-Watch)(SO 80S IT HURTS LOLOLOL)
Shame (Sept 18)(Meh. This was very well filmed and artistically done but the plot was too minimalist for me and Fasspeen wasn't worth sitting through it all. Oh, well.)
Hector and the Search for Happiness (Oct 7)(This was fun, but only fun. Reminded me a bit of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty but with lots more realism.)
Epic (Oct 16)(Cute! Gave me some Ferngully feels what with all the forest stuff. Annoyed they killed off the queen at the beginning, who was the only main POC, and then had a white girl protag instead.)
Inferno (Nov 7)(Fairly typical action adventure in the Dan Brown DaVinici series. Lots of plot holes, Tom Hanks is too good for it, but a fine way to spend a couple of hours.)
13th (Nov 15)(This was an incredible documentary; hard to watch but essential. So glad I saw it.)
10 Things I Hate About You (Nov 19)(Re-Watch)(Love it forever and ever)
Doctor Strange (Nov 20)(This was solid! Not the best of the MCU, but still plenty enjoyable. Not as confusing as it could have been, either.)
Moana (Nov 27)(OMG THIS WAS SO GOOD. Probably my favorite movie of the year. Uplifting, heartwarming, great songs, LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA... just so good.)
Hamilton's America (Nov 30) (PBS Special)(Lovely documentary combining history of Alexander Hamilton with the making of Hamilton: An American Musical. Loved it. Of course.)
Office Christmas Party (Dec 11)(This was fun! You have to be in the right mood for this kind of comedy, but if you are, it's a good time. I laughed!)
Love, Actually (Dec 16)(Re-Watch)(Always love this)
Fruitvale Station (Dec 17)(Oh, damn. This was powerful and important and extremely well done. Painful.)
The Santa Clause (Dec 17)(Re-Watch)(Always a good time!)
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (Dec 18)(Re-Watch)(Always fun with the Griswolds!)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Dec 20)(OMG SO GOOD. I loved this for just what it was- one group of heroes' story. It was nicely encapsulated by some of the choices made, it showed the importance of this mission, and it fits well within the SW universe. Loved it.)
Jack Frost (1998)(Dec 23)(Actually first time I saw this Christmas movie, and it was fairly lovely and VERY 90s. I liked it!)
A Christmas Story (Dec 25)(Re-Watch)(I think I enjoy this more the more I see it, lol.)
The Polar Express (Dec 25)(Re-Watch)(Still not one of my favorites, but fairly good- very sweet in many ways.)
Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (Dec 25)(Re-Watch)(Annual fave; love it.)
The Year Without a Santa Claus (Dec 25)(Re-Watch)(Annual fave; love it.)
La La Land (Dec 30)(Clever, unique and classic at the same time, lovely cast. Thoroughly enjoyed this although hated the way it was filmed. All blurry, bleh.)
