Pissed
Found out after turning in my time card that oh, no, those 8 hours of overtime worked were NOT ALLOWED YOU HEATHEN BITCH because I'd used PTO hours in the same week. (Hi, working 12-hour days to keep up made me sick, so effin' SORRY to have used some PTO...) FFfffffff...
Assuming my belatedly corrected timecard ever made it to accounting ** (thanks, management! I trust you even less than ever!), it'll be a flat, no OT no nothing paycheck, rather than something with the play money I had expected to receive*. Which means my credit card being paid down to almost nothing will be a much slower process than anticipated. Ugh.
Also, the psycho broker that drove my (sane, organized, knows-what-the-hell-is-going-on) coworker to up and quit without much warning (in the middle of the renewal season) is being exceptionally nice and friendly today. It's rather like Jayne Cobb giving away apples - turns your blood to ice just to think on it. (Lesson of the day: use a knife, not your teeth?)
Had it been just this one thing, I wouldn't be nearly as pissed, but Managers(tm) already sat us down and scolded us like errant children on Friday morning. (You're all horrible, terrible people because ONE of you is screwing up, so you're ALL in trouble! We're in charge, neener neener boo-boo!) My patience is worn to onion-skin thinness right now.
* Yes, I am lucky to have a job that pays moderately well. I understand this. I also work in a place that makes for the Batshit!Crazy, so I am venting here that I cannot even depend on doing basic math to find out what my paycheck will be based on hours worked, nevermind it's a company that will never reward loyalty or quality work. It's goddamned irritating. I will be even more goddamned irritated if I am NOT paid on Friday because of this big kerfuffle that will inevitably be My Fault. Again, I get that there are Rules, but seriously? I worked my ass off the last two weeks. How about a goddamned cookie for getting shit done?
** 4/25 ETA: It did not, and now my timecard and pay are doubly-fucked-up. Deducted PTO, no OT, next paycheck is going to be "adjusted" by -$250. WTF??????????? I was supposed to have a meeting on this today, too, but was brushed off. FFFFFF.
