Batman had to admit that working together definitely had its advantages. Catwoman was a very capable ally; she handled herself very well and on more than one occasion had saved his life without gloating. He was surprised she had been able to help him with his patrol and still managed to protect Gotham's East End.
He believed that working together at the same time that they began a relationship would interfere with his work, but when they were out on the rooftops or down in the streets, she was all business. If anything, it was his mind that often lingered and looked forward to the end of patrol. Once they were done for the night, he could simply head over to her apartment instead of having to go all the way to Bristol and the cave.
He would never tell her, but he enjoyed spending every night with her. He slept better, he stopped having nightmares, and best of all, she was the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes in the morning.
