HAHAHAAA! Here comes the proof I so often talk about. How parts of A Christmas Story (the movie about Ralphie wanting a Daisy Red Rider BB Gun) were shot in my neighbourhood, basically right in my backyard:
Wow! That's really cool. And what a nice little neighborhood you live in. Thanks for sharing!
How's your weekend going? It's snowing here (again!) so I'm staying inside today. J went off to his regular Sunday basketball game with the boys so I'm spending my last day of freedom (back to work tomorrow. *cries*) by myself. I've just put some Shake 'n Bake chicken in the oven (mmmm...) and before that I changed the washers in the taps of the kitchen sink. Go, me! Who needs a man around? I shouldn't speak too soon; watch, I'll get the super banging on my door in the middle of the night because there's a leak into the apartment below me!
Anyway, hope you're having a good weekend! And thanks again for posting those pics!
Oooooooooooooo you fix that sink!! lol, I'm sure it'll be fine and if not, you can bribe your neighbour with chicken! lol
It's a really nice neighbourhood here, it's off of two busy streets but you'd never know it. Our old little war-time bungalow on a street with huge maple trees. Ray and I like it!!
I had to post the pics, it was a necessity!
*ppsssshhht...2 more days till 'The Island'...squee!*
Hehe, Yeah I've been trying to get people to understand how cool that is for years. I was actually living in NOTL when they were filming 'The Ref' it was cool! They changed all of the signs on the shops and such, they actually used the library (well it was the library when I lived there) as the police station. They have since built a new library of course. It may not be a christmas film exactly but don't forget that all the river scenes in 'Canadian Bacon' were filmed in Port Dalhousie...right in our backyard...annoyed the hell out of my dad. They kept filming at 2 or 3 in the morning when he just wanted some sleep. ^O^;
Ahhhhhhhh 'The Ref' I love that movie!! I didn't know the police station was the library! Makes sense now that I think of it, it didn't really look a lot like a police station. Hee Hee
"The day you see something through to the end Caroline, I'll stick my own dick in my ear."
LMFAO!!
And Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, your poor Dad! Why in the hell would they film at 3 and 4 in the morning??? Seems strange to me! I guess that's the kind of lighting they needed. *shrugs*
^O^;;; We were just watching the Ref a few days ago so it was fresh in my memory. Love that movie so much! "Why don't you...eat....meeee." The scene they were filming was when they cross the river at night I think. Dad was cranky all week because of that. It was kind of funny.
LOL! I need to pick that up this year! I don't know how I could've gone this long without owning it! lol! I love when Kevin Spacey takes the fire poker and beats the shit out of the Christmas Tree.
"excuse me...Excuse Me...EXCUSE ME!!!! The corpse still has the floor"
(at least I think he says 'corpse') lol!! or
"What do you want out of the marriage?" "I want to stop talking about it!"
LOL
OMG, well, it's understandable...if I was woken up nightly by loud noises at 3am, I'd be pretty cranktastic as well! lol
