"No TV and No Beer make Homer....something something"
So, I needed coffee badly this morning because I was up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep - I'm not going into the details cause I really don't want to go into it, I would rather just ply myself with coffee and forget that I lost about 3 hours sleep.
But yesterday was cool! I had gotten my yarn (I picked 'Gelato') in the mail from KnitPicks on Tuesday and I was having fun with the new book that I also bought (basically customize your own sock pattern). The yarn is like butter and the pattern is knitting up very cute and I hope to be wearing said socks before Christmas!
I also got my little owl toy made by mediocrechick in the mail yesterday!!!!! He's sooooooooooo cute, but I haven't named him yet! Keep reading, they have a special power that we discovered....
So then Ray and I wanted to do something different, and since we're a little short on cash right now, we played Scrabble. And I was kicking ass! I was getting all the best letters and I couldn't believe my luck! I had my little owl there right with me the whole time. But Ray was having a tough time (and being vocal about it) so when I was leading by a huge chunk, I gave him the owl to hold .... just cause I don't like it when we can't play against each other fairly and he keeps getting ripped off. Wouldn't you know that right after I gave him my owl... he put down 'squid' on a triple word tile!!!!!!!! WTF??? Really??? He ended up winning the game by 15 points! So.... mediocrechick, you have a little advertising gem if you plan on selling more owls - they have 'Scrabble Power'.
We then proceeded to watch Iron Man, yet again and I knitted till I was dizzy. Had I known I was going to wake up at 5am and not get back to sleep, I would've gone to bed earlier. *sigh* hopefully the finished socks will make up for it.
