Ahahaha... ok, I've crossed into the realm of knitting that's really awesome. I am trying.... socks!!! Yes, socks, very fine wool and four needles all at the same time. At first, I tried like 5 times to cast on and it was all sparse and stringy and just, craptastic and I ended up frogging the whole damn thing each time. Until I went over to Nana's - the Queen of Socks!!! She showed me a way to cast on that makes it more substantial and told me to go slow... so, now I've got two sets of needles with a sock started on each. There's 8 inches of ribbing to do on each sock so I've got a while to go before I have to turn a heel (EEP!!) so, just going round and round is really good practice! Now I just hope I can be a good teacher so
draconis_magus and I can make socks together :D
So far, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee has it right, though her books make you want to knit!!! So funny, so real, so good. :) So wish me luck and hopefully I won't need the chocolate and liquor once I get to the heel!
