"I forgot to ask you about something the other day, what with all the excitement of camping and... ya know." she said as she entered the room.

"My boat sustained some damage a little while ago and Walter suggested you may be able to help repair it?"

"Broken boat? Yeah, that's no problem," Alphonse gestured towards a chair near the desk if she wanted to sit. "What kind is it, wooden?"

"Yeah, I'm not sure what kind of wood it is actually. I rather got it second hand. Some kind of oak I suspect. Walter said something about possibly changing the type of wood? Is that possible?"

"It doesn't really matter what kind of wood," Alphonse shrugged lightly. "A tree's a tree. As long as you've got the pieces, or substitute pieces, it'll work."

"Well I have some extra lumber of a better quality then what the boat seems to be made of. And I have a small sample of what I wish the whole thing were made of."

"Sure thing. I'll see that I spiff up the boat the best I can for you." He nodded, grinning. By now he felt a lot better than before, actually; Pippi seemed to be worry free about everything, so maybe he should let it all blow over too.
