Two Words: Sledge Hammer!
Great t.v. show from the 80's, recently released on DVD. It's similar to Police Squad, but doesn't focus on puns and is lighter on the sight gags. The jokes might be stale, and some of them miss the mark a bit, but there are so many hilarious moments that make it worth watching. Hammer is virtually in love with his gun, abhors gun control supporters, and eradicates crime by using violence as much as possible, which makes for some hilarious moments (all the while, the show is really sort of making fun of him) :) hehe.
