pooped.
The past weekend was amazing - and now, I am le tiiired.
Brian and Amanda’s wedding was Friday. The whole day was beautiful - the ceremony, the weather, drinks at the Vitales, and the reception. Amanda was gorgeous, as were all of the elegant decorations. Kevin’s toast went really well, and I danced like a fool thanks to the open bar! Pictures are available on facebook :)
I spent a lot of time with the wedding party - at the rehearsal dinner, at the hotel after the wedding, at a Friar Tuck’s breakfast the morning after, and out to dinner with the parents on Saturday night. The party really just didn’t stop - I think I’ve been home to sleep and shower!
Yesterday I was able to go to Tamar’s house in Manchesterland for a graduation get-together. I saw most of my old apartment-mates, and we talked and ate for a good six hours, which is really no different than an average afternoon Mae 101. On the way to Manchester, three of us stopped by my sister’s house to see her puppy, which is SO freakin’ cute!
I’m leaving for Florida on Friday, which means that my vacation from academia is almost 2/3 of the way over. I’m really not ready for that at all. But I am ready for nap on Kevin’s porch swing. That shall commence … now.
