Time to kill...eggs to beat...whites to whip...
I know such a violent foodie title *grin*
Anywhoo I just thought that I would update seeings how I haven't done much with the lj this summer.
So I guess the recap
The job up here started off as fun and then sorta went down hill. I still enjoy working in the hospitality field but with a small business things sorta get way too personal and the line between personal and professional get severly blurred. Early in the summer the dishwasher was let go but was given reasons that weren't totally true (she was told the interns needed more hours when in reality it was because the owners didn't like her work ethic) then one of the housekeepers broke her foot so that put a little bit of strain on us and then turns out that she needs to have surgery on her foot so she leaves at the end of the month. I end in about six days and B leaves a week and a half after me. So needless to say things have been rather edgy here. That and then starting to have problems with people more in the terms of keeping to myself but people have frustrated me to no end. On lighter sides, my youth leader from ages past decided to come check out where i work when she and her husband are in the area to visit friends whee! Work in general pretty much just got really really stressful this summer. Between not really trusting the area or the neighbors around my apartment and not having the grandest time at work, I've been a little on edge. I've had more haunted spooky dreams this summer than I have in a long while and needless to say a lot of them have a glimpse or are set in a bed and breakfast.
So on a lighter note i suppose that I should do happier stuff and they would include going to the beach at night and having long talks on deserted lifeguard towers, to walking on the beach to swimming in the lake. There was one time, Drew, B and I went down to the lake and B and I were on either side, arm in arm with drew and there was one guy that was went on and on about "oh schnaps! Checke this guy out!" and of course B and I were cracking up and Drew just ate it up *grin* Of course he also had his towel wrapped around his waist so it looked like he had a Tshirt and a skirt on LOL I'm a little bummed that I can't make it to Chris and Katie's wedding but I wish them the best! ^_^ I guess another thing good about here is the pine. I love the scent of pine in the evening, that and the night sky has put on a neat display with clouds and colors. Six days and I head home. I can't wait. That and I found out last night my doggie got bitten by a rattlesnake last night and this is after she had surgery for an absess (turned out to be non cancerous) and a slight tick problem. My poor doggie =( Anywhoo need to get back to work. See you guys soon! (for some the fifthteenth of August some, sooner ^_^)
