Hello all-
Well, just to let everyone know what is going on here in cripple land... I had an MRI on Saturday morning and saw my Dr. on Wednesday. As he suspected, I have a ruptured disk in my lower back. So, soon I will be going to the hospital and having an epidural-steroid injection in my spine after witch I will begin physical therapy for 3 to 4 weeks. If the physical therapy does not work, then I will have surgery. The Dr. gives about 80% odds that I can get better without surgery and about 90% with surgery. He said that if after 2 weeks of physical therapy I do not feel like it is helping I can call him and he will schedule me for surgery. The surgery is not major and he said that it would only be a one night stay in the hospital. Meanwhile, he gave me even better drugs (yay for Percoset) and I am laying on my bed or my couch all day long reading, watching TV and playing games. While this may sound live heaven to some of you, it is starting to get old and I have a bit of cabin fever. I guess I better get used to it because this is my life for at least another 4 weeks. I want to go out and see people, but since I can't, I would welcome all of you to come see me anytime! I never heard back from Sooner Theatre so either I haven't gotten the job or they are taking their sweet time. Probably for the best anyway since I can't work for a while. I want to go home to Colorado and see my family and my new baby niece but I think it will be a while before I am able to make it out there. If I have to have surgery, my mom is going to come down here to be with me. She may come for a while even if surgery is not needed. I miss Adam during the day while he is at work... it is difficult for me to get up and get things that I need, but I guess somebody needs to make money so that we can eat! Listen to me and my pity party.... Sorry, things have gotten me a little down lately. The good news is, our air conditioning was just fixed so it is finally cooling off in here... maybe I'll take a nap. I miss everyone's smiling faces. Talk to you later.
