Adventures in Alchemy
I picked up some new essential and fragrance oils - clary sage, white thyme, rosewood, frankincense, china musk, green tea, and vanilla. These fill some holes in my kit.
Picked up some smallish bottles of hemp oil, jojoba oil, and grapeseed oil, because my bulk oils had been sitting for long enough they were getting rancid. So I can make massage oils again - poke me if I owe ya one?
I also got some heart-of-rattan sticks (i.e. reed canes for diffusers), dipropylene glycol, and cheap vodka -- so now I'm fully equipped to make reed diffuser bottles for personal use.
Made a reed diffuser solution for Apollon -- frankincense, amber, & bay laurel are the primary notes, with traces of tangerine, musk, vanilla, and myrrh to round out the experience. It is a verrah sexay blend. Set the diffuser on an altar in the bedroom, with Apollon statues and some shiny gold stuff. I may make a Stuff-style sign to hang over the altar that says ἀρετή (arete) meaning "virtue" and "excellence" in Greek -- my personal connection to Apollon, who is very... present... around here lately, what with triadruid preparing for the God Auction.
