Thank you so much for this excellent article! You accurately described the events that took place in amazing detail. This article, and the fact that it will be published on your blog, makes me feel a lot better. I now feel like a human being whose experience in this matter is finally taken seriously.
The OTO is NOT a spiritual/magical organization. It is a place where decadence in the forms of open sex in the lodge, talking about specific sex practices (while masquerading it as discussions about "sex magick"), drinking and drugs are valued above anything else, especially magick and spirituality, which are the two concepts that are supposed to be taken seriously.
As you know, I have also experienced blatant racism and sexism in the OTO lodge, as in one member's description of me that I was a monkey because I am black. I am actually a mulatto, and that same member dismissed my experience as a biracial woman with the implication that no one would believe that I was a mixed race woman, unless I told them. He then spent about five minutes staring at my face so he could study my "bone structure" before he finally admitted that I do indeed, have European facial features in spite of the fact that my (light) brown skin still made me "look like a monkey" (apparently his supposed joke about how white people still see black people as resembling monkeys in today's society).
This same individual stated that I attract weird people because I have very negative energy that I supposedly acquired in my past lives, and so I am apparently "paying" for the fact that my energy is very negative. Another individual also told me that it seemed that I was "cursed by demons", because I suffer from SLE lupus, a disease with many "vampiric symptoms". I apparently am cursed because I performed some very negative black magick in my past (including any past lives that I have lived).
I am so relieved to finally be free from the OTO and the lodge, before any more toxic behavior is directed towards me because of certain individuals who are openly resentful of my magickal knowledge and ability (after all, black women aren't supposed to be serious about practicing magick).
The same member who told me I "look like a monkey" also said "we don't care what happens to you" when I told him about the stalking.
Thank you for seeing me as a worthy human being and a serious magician who did not deserve to be treated like trash from the individuals in the OTO lodge!
